My husband and I had a great stay at this Casita. It was perfect for the two of us, well-appointed, comfortable and a very short walk to Canyon Road and a ton of great restaurants! We were greeted at checking with a complimentary bottle of wine and chips and salsa which we enjoyed that evening in the lovely courtyard. Definitely recommend to others!

Perfect in every way

This delightful casita must be the best located in SF, walk to Canyon Rd one block down the hill, walk to Plaza in 10-15 minutes and even to trailheads in 30 minutes. The owner was extremely responsive. The big grassy yard with colorful Flowers and comfortable seating under the umbrella was our favorite spot. Mourning dove babies hatched in the olive tree during our stay! Bed is comfortable, bathroom very nice, kitchen and other amenities high end. Highly recommend this. Thank you, Jim!

Very nice finishes and furnishings. Attention to detail. Bathroom is diminutive but great shower! Huge front yard with 2 seating areas, easy parking. Comfortable bed. We’d have stayed longer but the price was restrictive.

This little casita was a perfect size for two. Sparkling clean and very well appointed. Lovely outdoor space and parking off street. The host management company was awesome to work with. Couldn't ask for a better location. 1 block to Canyon Rd and Daily Subscription Coffee a 5-minute walk. It took us awhile to get the hang of Youtube TV.

Great stay despite problems with the air-conditioning unit.

We had a fantastic day at James’ Casita. He has a wonderful backyard which is great for Socially distanced Entertaining outdoors. The only negative during our stay was the air conditioning unit was not working and we happened to be in Santa Fe during some of the hottest days of the year. That being said the Adobe construction of the house along with the use of ceiling fans and other portable fans worked fairly well. James did everything possible to try to get the AC unit fixed. He had a circuit board sent priority shipping but unfortunately when the repairman try to fix it it blew out and it looks like the problem with his AC unit was the motor. I’m sure it’s going to be fixed very soon and I doubt if you need air conditioning except for a few days a year for this property. The only other reason you might want air conditioning is that during the day at times there was construction going on across the street from us on both sides and you would have to shut the windows and front door to cut out the noise. Overall I highly recommend this property.

An Oasis in the Heart of Old Town

This property is absolutely brilliant! The location is the historic district is unbeatable, right off Canyon Road, near all the galleries, and walking distance to the Plaza. I spent every morning and evening enjoying the beautiful and spacious garden, your own oasis in the heart of town. Inside, you will find everything you need, it’s clean & beautifully decorated with yummy linens and towels! I will definitely be back to Santa Fe and this is exactly where I want to be staying!

Best location for walking to galleries and peaceful retreat

I'm not sure which is best about this little oasis - the location, walking distance to Canyon Road art galleries and restaurants, or the peaceful courtyard which is great for relaxing with coffee or having friends visit for drinks under the lighted trees. The kitchen had everything you could ever need to cook meals should you desire (including spices, oils, and cookbooks). The bed is huge and very comfortable (they even had a foam pillow for people like us who forgot to report their dust mite/feather pillow allergies!). If you like down, you are covered in style. Very quiet, pretty street - could not ask for more! They even gave us list of fave restaurants, etc. walking distance and driving (though you could truly get around easily without a car while staying here). Very thoughtful owners. Thank you!

Great location just off Canyon Rd galleries and a fairly short walk to the plaza. Good to have off street parking & an enclosed grassy area for lounging & dining. Well equipped kitchen for cooking. Thanks to James & Val for letting us bring our dog. After two weeks it feels like home!

Ideally located, tranquil oasis

Beautiful place, perfectly located to walk to galleries and restaurants in Canyon Road and the Plaza. (You can also take a leisurely stroll to the Railyard District if you don't mind walking a mile.) If you want a bed fit for the Princess in "The Princess and the Pea", you will love sleeping here. We thought it was much too sol. Val is very knowledgable about the area and made great suggestions of things to see and do.

Excellent rental: Convenience, cleanliness superb, comfort and lovely side yard with gas grill. A few minor suggestions: need replacement batteries for both flashlights (triple AAA none available ); washer works fine however dryer did not because dryer seeking plastic knob pulls off and will not allow one to set timer to start dryer; gas grill cover when removed the inside of it was filled with red ants; gas grill cover was also torn before my arrival and needs replacing so weather doesn't damage the grill; dimmer switch for ceiling lamp over kitchen table at times I had to press off several times to completely shut off the light otherwise it remained on in a low dim seeking. May want to place some yellow caution tape on the step down from living room into the hall adjacent to bathroom. My first walk thru the casita I misstepped.

The dresser in the master bedroom: the top level hand drawer on the inside where the handle is connected the level bracket has a sharp piece of metal protruding which did cut my thumb when reaching inside the drawer. I hope these suggestions are helpful. I definitely recommend this place to stay and would surely rent if available my next stay in the Santa Fe area.

My husband and I had been exploring the southwest for three weeks, and found ourselves wanting to return to Santa Fe. We found this casa just off Canyon Road, listed in VRBO. The ambience from a walled garden with lovely trees, outdoor living area, cozy and well-equipped kitchen/living area perfect for the desired week of relaxation. The master bed was perfect for our sleeping needs. The house is very well maintained, and the location amazing. We could walk to the Plaza, all about Canyon Road. It was the perfect spot for a couple.

We loved our stay here. We were one block from Canyon Rd and minutes from the Plaza. Everything was in great condition, well decorated, everything you could need throughout the house. We LOVED the yard which is completely private and walled in, beautifully landscaped with a great coaching sitting area and eating area under an umbrella. Wonderful casita!

My husband and I stayed here in June for 6 nights as we were doing research on relocating to Santa Fe. Even before we arrived, I knew we had selected the right place. Val, the owner, quickly responded to my basic questions regarding restaurants with such fun details and information, truly providing exactly what we needed and then some. Upon arrival, we were charmed by the gorgeous garden and adorable casita. Everything was perfectly cleaned and stocked and we felt at home immediately. The location makes this casita ideal for walking to Canyon Road, the Plaza, great restaurants, and walking/running along the Santa Fe river. It's an easy drive to grocery stores, historic sites, and hiking trails, very much in the middle of Santa Fe. The garden is beautiful and we enjoyed coffee and breakfast in the morning and an glass of wine in the evening watching the birds. We had the pleasure of meeting Jim (owner) while we were staying there, he had come to make sure everything was up and running and to do some minor maintenance. We were given ample time before he came over, and he was so accommodating around our schedule, truly wanting to put our visit experience first over any routine maintenance to be done - we had noticed nothing that was needed!!! Again, this attention to minor details from the owners speaks to the great condition of the casita and everything provided. We are planning another trip to Santa Fe in a few weeks to look at more properties to relocate and sadly, this casita is booked! My husband and I stayed for four nights in early August. What a amazing property! The casita was beautifully decorated, the king sized bed was very comfortable, and the entire home clean and inviting. The location couldn't be beat. So close to canyon road galleries and a quick walk to the plaza. We didn't use our car at all to go into town. Also, even though the temperatures were in the mid 80's, the casita didn't heat up at all and we slept comfortably at night. I would highly recommend this property and have already mentioned it to my friends who want to visit Santa Fe, too. Thank you so much for making our vacation more enjoyable!

Loved this little casita. I was by myself and without a car most of the week and felt very comfortable walking to and from the plaza or sitting in the yard. Quiet residential neighborhood (only heard church bells and birds chirping) but just a one minute walk to Canyon Rd. and a couple of cafes. The weather was hot but the casita stayed cool enough inside that the fans were sufficient. Wifi worked great. Very clean and well-equipped. The kitchen had everything I needed, including coffee and tea supplies, and there were plenty of bathroom supplies so I did not have to make a shopping trip. Perfect for one person or a small family who want to be close to the action, but in a quiet place with plenty of Santa Fe charm.

Wonderful location for visiting the heart of Santa Fe

My wife, son & I stayed here for 3 nights in July. Comfortable, quiet casita with a relaxing yard. Kitchen is fully equipped. The bed in the bedroom was so comfortable that I had to force myself to get up and out. My son slept on the sofa/sleeper and said it was extremely comfortable also. Coming from the Southeast where it's hot and humid, I had my reservations about staying in a place without AC. Absolutely did not need it! Very cool and comfortable inside. Plaza within 10 minute brisk pace walk. Canyon road with art galleries and a few restaurants 1 block away. Would have stayed longer but it was already booked. Val,

the owner was accommodating and easy to contact & work with. The next time I'm in Santa Fe and if this Casita is available, this is where I want to say. Thanks again Val!

This is our new place to stay in Santa Fe!

Historic, cozy, and very comfortable Adobe Casita in the hottest part of Santa Fe, so perfectly located for everything new and fun to do, all of it within walking distance of everything, but completely quiet and private. There's an amazing view of the surrounding mountains and skyline from the private patio seating and lushly landscaped backyard, and an equally great view of the property gardens and local historic homes. There's an incredibly comfortable bed and pillows, really neat original artwork, a kiva with firewood provided (pinon pine, no less - smells amazing), and a unique kitchen that is filled with everything you'd need to prepare your own meals. Everything's so close, we just walked everywhere.

The car stayed in park the whole time. Geronimo, Cafe Pasqual's, La Fonda, El Meson, Pink Adobe, 315, Anasazi, Chimayo, Osteria, La Posada, the Aspen's in the mountains turning gold, etc., and still not enough time to do it all. This is our new place to stay in Santa Fe. So much fun! Thanks again, Val!

Amazing place! Great spot and so clean and homey!!! Felt like home! Had everything you needed and would want! We went skiing and it was not far from the place! Also very warm with the fire we started every night! Great communication as well! Had a sweet girl waiting to welcome us too! So thoughtful! Loved it all!!

This casita is everything advertised and more. Extremely close to Canyon Road and all it offers, but also near the historic Square. Yet, quiet, clean, a large lawn and comfortable 1 BR space inside. Great bed too. I can’t think of a nicer private home to stay in. And I say that as somebody who has been traveling to Santa Fe off and on for 20 years.

This place is super clean and a quick and easy 10 minute walk to the plaza! The location is great if you wanna be close to Canyon Road and the Plaza! The fireplace made the nights cozy! And anything needed to start a fire was provided!

Beautiful 1 bedroom Adobe in the heart of the Canyon Road arts district of Santa Fe. Walkable to this entire surrounding area full of galleries & eateries. A bit more of a walk to the Plaza and downtown- we drove but a great central location nonetheless. Very clean, super comfortable bed, and 2 smart TV’s with Ne_lix and Amazon (1 in the bedroom). Would definitely stay again!
